What is Arteres?
Where do the funds of the Foundation come from?
The resources of the Foundation are gathered through fundraising activities directed towards different sectors of the public (Hospital patients and their families, the Geneva population as a whole, businesses and other organisations, and so on).
Where does the money go?
The donations fund projects within the remit of the Foundation, as follows:
- clinical research (50% of the funds)
- basic sciences research (25%)
- patient well being (25%)
How are the projects selected?
Medical teams propose projects which are passed on to the Foundation's Advisory Committees. The committee selects those which are to receive funding, and the Board of the Foundation follows up the funded projects to asses their impact and implementation.
Are the donations made to the Foundation tax deductible?
Donations to the Foundation are tax-deductible. The Foundation delivers a tax receipt for all donations. Please do not forget to give us your contact information so that we can send you this document. More information
How is the information regarding the donors used?
We do not use donor personal information for any use other than internal administration. We will not transfer any personal data to any third party.
Can I donate in confidence?
The Arteres Foundation strictly follows its own 'Ethics charter' and follows the principles of governance as set out in the Swiss laws on charitable foundations.
How is the Foundation structured?
Open to the city, the Foundation's Board of directors includes personalities at the cutting edge of domains such as medecine, science, law and politics to name a few.
